Following in the footsteps of Audi, Jaguar Land Rover has also decided to change its naming convention.

Although no official announcement has been made, Auto Express reader Don Etchells has spotted a Jaguar F-Type sporting a new badge. Instead of F-Type S on the 380-horsepower model, the prototype had a P380 AWD badge on its trunk. It appears the “P” stands for petrol, while the “380” represents the power output of the model. That means the entry-level, four-cylinder model will sport a P300 badge.

Land Rover is expected to also adopt the new naming convention, with the Range Rover Velar lineup starting with the D180 in other markets, with “D” standing for diesel. It will be interesting to see if the British automaker uses the P designation for petrol in the U.S. and other markets, where it’s more commonly known as gasoline.

It’s a move that’s similar to what Audi recently announced, as more and more vehicles turn to smaller powerplants and hybrid powertrains.
